Climate Policy Analysis

neil.grant@climateanalytics.org

Dr. Neil Grant is a Climate and Energy Analyst at Climate Analytics, where his work focuses on producing and assessing decarbonisation scenarios at the global and national level. He assesses what individual countries need to do to deliver 1.5°C compatible action, and identifies opportunities to close the ambition gap and achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement.

Before joining Climate Analytics, Neil was a PhD candidate at the Grantham Institute for Climate Change and the Environment at Imperial College London. His PhD performed a critique of the representation of CCS and CDR in global integrated assessment models, exploring how this representation could be improved, and how this would change the narratives produced by these influential models. Neil has also worked closely with a range of organisations on UK climate policy, including the Climate Change Committee, the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Climate Change, WWF-UK and the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy.
