We assist particularly vulnerable developing countries in streamlining climate plans into national development strategies, hence improving effectiveness of implementation and fundability of their projects.

Regional Capacity Building

We are working with regional organisations in developing countries to foster their participation in the climate negotiations and support the development and implementation of climate related strategies.

Latest

PANOS Caribbean, together with Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES), will today launch a two-day climate change workshop geared at helping to advance the interests of Caribbean small-island developing states.The workshop, which is to see the participation of some 12 journalists and eight artistes from the region, is being held in St Lucia, ahead of this year's international climate talks set for Paris, France in December. The workshop - done with co-financing from Climate Analytics, the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States and the Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre - forms a part of a larger Panos project for which they continue to fundraise.  

Projects

The "Climate Action Tracker" is an independent science-based assessment, which tracks the emission commitments and actions of countries.  
Upon request from The Central African Forest Commission (Commission des Forêts d'Afrique Centrale) COMIFAC, Climate Analytics provided three multi-day workshops in Douala, Cameroon, aimed at Cameroon’s high level representatives and members of the COMIFAC GTC. Project Period: 2013, 2014  
The project supports national climate finance institutions tasked with accessing the Green Climate Fund (GCF) under the Fund’s direct access modality and provides strategic and conceptual support for developing national climate change strategies. Project Period: 2014 - 2016
