Manjeet Dhakal holds a Masters degree in Environmental Management (MSc) from Pokhara University, Kathmandu. He worked with Clean Energy Nepal (CEN) since 2006, first as Program Assistant and then as Policy and Advocacy Officer and Program Coordinator for Energy and Climate change unit. Manjeet was appointed Program Director and served as the functional head of CEN from June 2011 to May 2013. He was honored in 2009 as ‘International Climate Champion’ by the British Council and ‘Southern Capacity Fellow’ by the Climate Action Network in both 2010 and 2011. He has been following and participating in the UN Climate Change negotiations since 2009 as a member of the national delegation of Nepal. He is a member of Core Negotiating Team for UN Climate Change Negotiation for the Government of Nepal and member of Support team for the Least Developed Countries (LDC) Chair at UNFCCC. Manjeet has supported Climate Analytics on various LDC projects since 2013 as a consultant Policy Analyst. He is based in Kathmandu, Nepal.
