Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Actions (NAMAs) are seen as an important vehicle for mitigation efforts in developing countries. The call for allocation of climate change resources in a balanced way between adaptation and mitigation and in the context of the meaningful mitigation actions fosters the assumption of a substantial flow of financial resources for NAMAs. Since 2007, LDCs have supported decisions relating to NAMAs, under the condition that they are designed and implemented with the perspective of low carbon and sustainable development.
