Michael is a Climate Policy Analyst within the Climate Policy Team. His work includes assessing the ambition of climate policies and emission targets by countries. Prior to joining Climate Analytics, he worked with the Malta’s Ministry for the Environment and Climate Change on long term decarbonisation policy implementation, as well as UNFCCC and EU coordination, as part of negotiations as well as national GHG reviews.
Michael holds an MSc in Ecosystem based Management in Marine Systems and a BSc (honours) in Earth system from the University of St. Andrews and the University of Malta, respectively. Additionally, he has trained international institutions such as the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and the European Commission Cabinet for the Environment.
