Estelle joined Climate Analytics in early 2023 and is the Australia and Pacific Office Director. She is currently on maternity leave.
Her work includes managing a growing multi-disciplinary team, and overseeing content work on climate policy for the Australian office and the Asia Pacific region, coordinating closely with and supported by the Climate Policy Team leads. Estelle is also responsible for developing and implementing the overall Australia-Pacific regional strategy, and is leading conceptualisation and acquisition of projects for the office.
Before joining Climate Analytics, Estelle worked for over a decade on climate policy all over Australia. Most recently, she oversaw a policy team focusing on developing pathways to decarbonise heavy industry for the West Australian Government. Prior to this, Estelle held a political advisor role to a former Environment Minister, and has provided climate policy advice to several states and locals governments in Australia. Estelle also worked for several years as a scientist for the University of Queensland on diverse environmental topics such as energy poverty, climate change, biodiversity conservation and sustainable water management.
On her free time, Estelle volunteers as the United Nations Association of Australia Western Australia division (UNAAWA) climate-lead.
She holds an MS in Environmental Science and Technology from the Université du Littoral Côte d’Opale and an MS in Business Strategy and Communication from the IDRAC Business School.
