This report reviews G20 countries’ climate action and their transition to a net zero emissions economy and consists of two parts: the annual policy assessment based on data of the previous year(s) and an analysis of the impacts of the COVID-19 crisis and recovery efforts on countries’ climate ambition.

In this global update, the Climate Action Tracker (CAT) has calculated that global warming by 2100 could be as low as 2.1°C as a result of all the net zero pledges announced as of November 2020.
