
Sindy is a Senior Advisor on the Diplomacy Team for Small Island Developing States (SIDS) Sustainable Development Finance, and the Team Lead for Alliance of Small Island States (AOSIS) Support.
Before joining Climate Analytics, Sindy worked for over a decade for the Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago in various roles, including as a Climate Change Specialist. In that role, she supported the implementation of the country’s national climate change policy, overseeing a portfolio of projects ranging from NDC preparation and implementation, MRV system implementation, National Adaptation Plan preparation, among many other national initiatives. She also was a contributing author to Trinidad and Tobago’s Third National Communication and First Biennial Update Report.
Sindy was also the AOSIS coordinator for adaptation issues for several years. In the past few years, Sindy has worked for another NGO which supported SIDS in international climate negotiations, as an adaptation advisor, and for other international firms and consultancies, advancing climate action primarily in SIDS and developing countries.
Sindy has a Bachelor's (Honours) and Masters in Environmental Studies from York University, Toronto, Canada, as well as a graduate diploma in Environmental/ Sustainability Education.
Sindy is passionate about advancing SIDS interests in international climate policy, and climate action in SIDS.
