Teresa Bonserio is a Senior Climate and Energy Data Scientist in the Climate Policy Team at Climate Analytics. Her background lies in energy system and integrated assessment modelling for climate transition strategies.
She is an Environmental Engineer with a Ph.D. in Science, Technology, and Policy for Sustainable Change from Politecnico di Milano. Her doctoral research focused on evaluating African energy transition strategies using various integrated modelling tools, a project she partially developed while serving as a Visiting Researcher at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in the United States. Following her Ph.D., Teresa was a Postdoctoral Researcher at University College Cork's MaREI Energy Policy and Modelling Group, where she focused on enhancing the representation of data centers within the TIMES-Ireland model.
Teresa’s earlier professional experience includes working as a Sustainability Analyst in Climate Change at Deloitte, where she conducted Life Cycle Assessments and supported corporate carbon footprint reporting. Outside of her academic and professional research, she was selected in 2025 as one of four national delegates to represent Italy for Energy & Environment at the Youth 7, contributing to the final communiqué submitted to G7 leaders in Ottawa.
A native Italian speaker, Teresa is fluent in English and proficient in French and Spanish.
