Dr. Dodji Komlan Aziandeke is a Junior Adaptation Specialist at the Africa Office of Climate Analytics, based in Lomé, Togo. He first joined the team as an Intern in Climate Policy and Implementation, where he supported the qualitative assessment of Togo’s Second Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC 2.0) and contributed to shaping the country’s long-term vision for its Long-term Low Emission Development Strategy (LT-LEDS).
In his current role, he contributes to the quantitative assessment of Togo’s NDC and the development of its LT-LEDS under a UNDP-supported project. His expertise also extends to the Republic of Congo, where he has been involved in the assessment of NDC 2.0 and the preparation of NDC 3.0.
Dodji holds a PhD in Climate Change and Agriculture from the University of Sciences, Techniques and Technologies of Bamako (USTTB), funded through the West African Science Service Centre on Climate Change and Adapted Land Use (WASCAL) scholarship programme, supported by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). His doctoral research focused on soil organic carbon sequestration as a climate change mitigation strategy in agricultural systems, applying process-based crop models such as DSSAT. He also holds a Master’s degree in Agroresources Science and Environmental Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Crop Science from the University of Lomé.
