This initiative seeks to catalyse the clean energy transition in the Caribbean as part of the region’s role in achieving the Paris Agreement’s global goal of limiting warming to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels. The project will promote a collaborative and inclusive approach to advancing renewable energy solutions.
The project aims to foster collaboration among a diverse range of actors in the private sector and civil society to drive action. It will identify opportunities for clean energy adoption and encourage commitment to a sustainable future through a voluntary Clean Energy Transition Pledge.
On March 14th, 2025, the Re-Energise Caribbean workshops will take place in Barbados to bring key stakeholders together. The workshops aim to co-create a stakeholder-driven mobilisation plan for clean energy in the region –including identifying innovative solutions to accelerate clean energy adoption. These workshops will equip key players and youth climate champions in the private sector and civil society with the tools to carry the transition forward.
