Join us for a virtual workshop were the outcomes of the LAMACLIMA project on land use, land cover and climate will be shared and discussed.
The Land management for climate mitigation and adaptation (LAMACLIMA) project has explored how changes in land cover and land management can help to meet the mitigation and adaptation objectives of the Paris Agreement, as well as the Sustainable Development Goals.
It has produced global land-use scenarios, as well as seven peer-reviewed publications so far, with three more in review and preparation.
A final workshop will be held virtually to share learnings from the project, with presentations on the impacts of land cover and land management change on the climate and carbon cycle at different scales, the role of forests in carbon mitigation, and land use and land use change effects on health and labour productivity.
The workshop will also offer insight into climate model emulator development, which offers opportunities for the generation of on-demand climate, climate impact projections.
