The world has pledged to triple renewable energy, double energy efficiency gains and accelerate electrification. But are we moving fast enough? Join us to explore the gap between global commitments and action, and what it will take to put the world on a path back to well below 1.5°C by 2100.

This webinar explores implementation progress of the COP28 pledges on tripling renewables and doubling annual rates of energy efficiency gains and dives deeper into the COP31 electrification pledge of 35% by 2035. We look into how far we’ve come, where the pledges get us and how far we need to go based on our Highest Possible Ambition scenario – a new global climate scenario that minimises overshoot and brings global warming back below 1.5°C by 2100.

We break down what the tripling and doubling goals look like, what key barriers are and how we could overcome them.  Hear from panellists who are driving electrification and how our Highest Possible Ambition scenario is used in their work and advocacy.
