Ling works in the Australia and Pacific Office as a Climate and Energy Policy Analyst within the Climate Policy Team. She works on a range of projects related to climate mitigation policies and decarbonisation pathways in the Asia-Pacific region. Her expertise spans climate policy analysis, the energy transition, and climate-related markets – including carbon offsets, renewable energy certificates, and electricity markets.

Ling holds a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Otago, New Zealand, where her research focused on carbon risk, pricing, and markets. She has published in leading journals such as Energy Economics and presented at international conferences, contributing to the global discussion on climate and energy finance and policy.

Before joining Climate Analytics, Ling gained experience in the utility, healthcare, and financial services sectors in the US, working on regulatory compliance, risk management and financial analysis. She also holds a Master of Commerce (Finance) with distinction from the University of Otago, New Zealand; a Master of Science in Finance from Drexel University, USA; and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Jiangxi Normal University, China.
