    James Bowen

    James joined Climate Analytics in August 2024 as a climate and energy policy analyst, focused on Australia and Asia-Pacific. He is also director of the consultancy ReMap Research, an adviser at political risk firm Dragoman Global and a non-resident fellow at the Australia-India Institute.

    James previously held positions at think tanks and academic institutions on several continents, including the Perth USAsia Centre, Australian War College, Mercator Institute for China Studies, and the International Peace Institute. James has authored numerous policy reports and commentary for these and other institutions, including the Korea Economic Institute of America, German Marshall Fund for the United States, Australian Strategic Policy Institute, National Bureau of Asian Research, and Asia Society Policy Institute.

    James holds a Master of International Relations degree from Griffith University and a Bachelor of English from Curtin University of Technology.
