Ella Strachan is a Climate Research Analyst at Climate Analytics, where she works closely
with Pacific Small Island Developing States (SIDS) to address critical issues related to
adaptation and loss and damage. She has extensive experience working in the Pacific region,
having supported intergovernmental organisations in implementing climate change
resilience and adaptation projects, as well as participating in UNFCCC negotiation processes.
Prior to joining Climate Analytics, Ella has worked for the Australian Department of Foreign
Affairs and Trade and interned Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme
(SPREP) in Samoa.
Ella holds a Bachelor of Marine Science (Hons) from the University of Wollongong and
completed her Honours year at the University of the South Pacific in Fiji where she focused
on the management of community-based fisheries.
