Diego is an Economic Consultant working principally with our Implementation Strategies Team in New York. He has a background in renewable energy, project finance, and environmental sciences with a master’s degree in Renewable Energy Engineering and Management from the University of Freiburg and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the National Autonomous University of Mexico. His work experience covers activities mostly in Mexico but also in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Before joining Climate Analytics, Diego was working on an environmentally extended Input-Output model for the calculation of different environmental footprints caused by the consumption of households in Mexico. He has experience with project finance of infrastructure projects, including renewable energy assets. His knowledge also includes the creation of cost-benefit models to analyse the economic feasibility of different kinds of projects and qualitative and quantitative evaluation methodologies, such as environmental impact and life cycle assessments.
