With over 15 years’ experience in awareness-raising and partnership-building, Bianca works across key projects with the common aim of empowering citizens of small island developing states (SIDS) to advance regional resilience. She also leads Communications for the Alliance of Small Island States (AOSIS), developing and executing strategies for international media and stakeholder engagement, and ensuring heightened amplification of SIDS’ issues at pivotal United Nations climate change summits.
Bianca is a graduate of Goldsmiths, University of London (thesis distinction) with an MA in Media and Communications, and St. John’s University, New York, with a BSc. in Communication Arts, Business Minor.
Her leadership work in resilience-building for vulnerable communities began with management of the “Caribbean-Pacific Mobility Scheme” (CARPIMS), for the University of the West Indies. This landmark Intra-ACP academic mobility project augmented institutional and socio-economic development within Caribbean and Pacific small island developing states.
She has additionally served as Communications Officer for the Trinidad and Tobago High Commission, London. Her communications expertise was previously honed by roles at MTV Networks and Lonsdale Saatchi & Saatchi.
Bianca is also the recipient of multiple ADDY awards (creative honours of the American Advertising Federation) for excellence in regional communications.
