Dr Luzie Helfmann

Luzie joined Climate Analytics in 2023 and works in our climate policy team. She contributes to projects such as the Climate Action Tracker through modelling and software development.

Before joining Climate Analytics, Luzie pursued her PhD at Freie Universität Berlin and the Potsdam Institute of Climate Impact Research. In her research, she developed stochastic methods for quantifying tipping paths. These methods can be used for studying tipping in models of social systems or the climate. Luzie also holds an MSc in Mathematics from Freie Universität Berlin and a BSc in Mathematics and Physics from University College London.
