Job Description

We are currently seeking a Student Assistant – Office of the CEO to work closely with our Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and his Executive Assistant to support them in their day-to-day work. In this position you get a deep insight into the work of an international non-profit organisation, its structures, processes and also the scientific content work while cooperating with high-level management.

Your Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for scheduling and preparing regular Management Team meetings including the preparation of the meeting minutes.
  • You coordinate internal meeting requests for our CEO.
    You coordinate the signing off approved contracts, budgets, reports and other documents for our CEO.
  • You support to keep track of emails and workflow and update the relevant project management applications.
  • You support the preparation of presentations and talking points for speaking events of our CEO.
  • You provide support with further administrative tasks such as travel bookings, preparation of expense claims, submitting invoices and others.
  • Together with our CEO and his Executive Assistant you will attend various meetings and will help to follow up on action points.
  • You will furthermore be involved in other spontaneous tasks related to the work of our CEO and the Executive Assistant.

Your profile

You will ideally have the following qualifications and skills:

  • You are a student enrolled preferably in a program related to either Economics and Management or social and environmental science – preferably with a focus on climate science or policy.
  • Your strong administrative skills, attention to details and a methodical approach to handling tasks and meeting deadlines distinguish you from others.
  • You have the interest and willingness to learn about climate change science and policy.
  • You have experience in working with the Microsoft office package.
  • Preferably you already have experience in administrative work.
  • You are very reliable and have strong communication skills and professionalism in dealing with decision-makers, team members and cooperation partners.
  • Our working language is English, therefore excellent English writing and verbal skills are necessary. Basic German skills are welcome, but not required, other language skills are an asset.
  • Preferably you can work a minimum of 15 hours per week (maximum 20 hours) with a minimum of 4 hours per day of work. This will of course depend on your university schedule as well.
