This year we are redeveloping our website and this role is an exciting opportunity for someone with excellent organisations skills (though coding/web experience is not essential) to work with experts in web and design and our climate experts, to support the refresh of our web presence. This includes providing coordination and project management support as well as drafting copy, seeking input from key stakeholders, sourcing images and updating webpages.

We are also looking to redesign our core templates for communications materials, so a background/demonstrable skill in design is a must.

Your Responsibilities

  • You will support the coordination of the redevelopment and maintenance of our website.
  • You will produce high quality design outputs including: templates, reports, digital media assets and other promotional materials.
  • You will provide support for organising public events, launches and webinars.
  • You will be developing stories and content for social media and other digital channels.
  • You contribute to our media monitoring roster.
  • You will do regular reporting on media, website and social media statistics.
  • You will furthermore be involved in other spontaneous tasks related to the work of our Communications Team.

Your Profile

You will ideally have the following qualifications and skills:

  • You are enrolled as a Student of graphic design, digital media or communications.
  • You have the interest and willingness to learn about climate change science and policy.
  • Your strong administrative skills, attention to details and a methodical approach to handling tasks and meeting deadlines distinguish you from others.
  • You have experience in graphic design and are proficient in the Microsoft Suite and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • If you have experience with Content Management Systems this is a plus.
  • Experiences using online collaborative platforms such as Trello and Miro are desirable.
  • Our working language is English, therefore excellent English writing and verbal skills are necessary. Basic German skills are welcome, but not required, other language skills are an asset.

We Offer

  • A job with purpose. With us you will work in a team of engaged people and with your skills you can make a positive contribution to our work in the field of climate change.
  • A positive and inspiring working atmosphere in an international team. Our Berlin office is located near Moritzplatz in the heart of the lively Kreuzberg, surrounded by a dynamic startup scene. Currently most of our staff is working from home due to covid-19 restrictions.
