Climate Analytics is an influential, well-regarded climate science and policy institute, established in 2008 to support vulnerable countries – Small Island Developing States and Least Developed Countries – in their push for ambitious climate action in the UN climate negotiations and the implementation of mitigation and adaptation solutions on the ground.

We undertake extensive research on climate change and make the latest science accessible to policymakers to help spur action to tackle climate change and adapt to its impacts. We also support governments of developing countries in translating their climate targets and pledges into mitigation and adaptation strategies and accessing international climate finance to facilitate their implementation.

We analyse the implications of policy choices in light of the latest science, which shows that the world must rapidly decarbonise to avoid the worst of climate change impacts. Our assessments show governments how they can act on their policies to keep warming to 1.5°C, the Paris Agreement temperature limit.

Our vibrant, international team is composed of more than 120 staff, about half of whom are based at our headquarters in Berlin, with others in our offices in New York, Lomé, Perth, Trinidad & Tobago and Kathmandu, and working in other locations all over the world.

We are currently seeking a Team Assistant – Science Team for our international and diverse Science Team to support the overall operations of the Science Team and especially supports the Science Team Management in the smooth running of the team. This includes mostly administrative tasks with respect to organisation of meetings, workshops, team coordination as well as to a smaller extent content-related tasks such as data processing for presentations or small-scale research assignments.

Climate and Energy Policy Analyst

In this position you will support our Australian-focused analytical projects analysing regional, national and state-level policy options and opportunities in the zero carbon transition, and will have the opportunity to also engage in our mitigation projects in the Asia-Pacific region analysing national and state-level and regional policy, targets and emissions.

People Operations Officer
