    Felipe Ossess works to provide support to LDCs as a Climate Diplomacy Analyst at Climate Analytics. He has a strong background in the Paris Agreement and UNFCCC negotiation processes, including five years as a negotiator for Chile and the Independent Alliance of Latin America and the Caribbean (AILAC).

    Prior to joining Climate Analytics in 2021, Felipe was advisor to the COP25 Presidency and Chile’s Ministry of the Environment lead negotiator. He has worked on several projects from national and international donors that support developing countries´ climate action. He has supported Chile’s NDC updating process, the preparation of national reports to the UNFCCC, and the set-up of Chile’s GCF technical secretariat. Until 2015, Felipe was the Climate and Green Growth Officer at the British Embassy in Santiago, overseeing the implementation in Chile of more than 15 projects on mitigation and adaptation to climate change.

    Felipe is a Chilean economist and has MSc. in Ecological Economics from the University of Edinburgh.
