We are currently seeking a Project Manager to join our New York team. The successful applicant will be in charge of managing a portfolio of projects at Climate Analytics and will support the identification and acquisition of new projects. The position is full time, based in New York, USA.

Key responsibilities

  • Project planning, management, evaluation and reporting
  • Provide support in the areas of resource planning and management
  • Project budget controlling and monitoring, with support from the Global Finance Team
  • Participate in the organization’s Global Project Management team and collaborate on development of processes
  • Act as a focal point for contacts, in particular with funders and partners at an administrative level
  • Organize logistics for country missions, workshops, events, meetings and other project activities
  • Manage project documentation, deliverables and knowledge systems
  • Assist the team with basic research and tools development
  • Support the team with grant proposal writing, acquisition of additional projects and strategic fundraising

Your profile

The following qualifications and skills are required:

  • A master’s degree in political, social or environmental science, or equivalent qualification; preferably with a focus on climate change
  • Sound experience in project management techniques, experience with project monitoring and evaluation
  • Experience in budget controlling, eligibility rules and procedures
  • Experience in coordinating or working with multi-partner consortia projects
  • Experience in the development and writing of funding proposals from different funding agencies and tender bids
  • Well organized, self-motivated and flexible, with the ability to work independently but also as part of a larger multicultural team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent English writing and verbal skills
  • Willingness to travel internationally
  • US citizenship or green card

Following skills are an asset:

  • Experience working in an international and/or interdisciplinary context
  • Experience working with a diverse array of partners and stakeholders
  • Work experience in the Caribbean region or in Small Island States
  • Experience conducting and moderating meetings
  • Knowledge of climate finance and/or readiness
  • French or German language skills
  • Knowledge or a profound interest in solving major challenges related to climate change and sustainability
