Rand supports the EmBARK project within work package 2 on regional assessment of barriers to adaptation including biophysical aspects and knowledge gaps. Her work focuses on implementing a comparative research for her master thesis on barriers to climate change adaptation faced by Small Islands Developing States (SIDS) in the Caribbean region.
Before joining Climate Analytics, Rand worked with the Gesellschaft für International Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in Grenada W.I on climate change adaptation strategies and on water-related projects in Jordan. She has also worked at the German Jordan University (GJU) in the faculty of applied natural sciences.
Rand holds a B.Sc in Water and Environmental Engineering from the GJU and is currently enrolled in the interdisciplinary Master programme of Integrated Natural Resources Management (INRM) at the Humboldt University of Berlin.
