Mavis is the Executive Officer to the CEO, Bill Hare. In her role she provides organisational, strategic and planning support to the CEO’s office and high-level strategic support to the Executive Management Team.
Prior to joining Climate Analytics, Mavis worked as a business development executive in West Africa and Latin America managing rural off-grid projects, building markets and creating government and private sector partnerships. She also worked at the International Renewable Energy Agency supporting programmatic and strategic work.
Mavis has received recognition for her climate and community development work. She is a Climate Reality Leader, a Queens Young Leader, Associate Fellow of the Royal Commonwealth Society and a One Young World Ambassador, among others.
Mavis holds a double Master’s Degree, one on Development Studies and Governance (with a focus on climate policies in West Africa) from the University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany and the other on Gender and Women Studies (with a focus on the intersection between climate change and gender) from Saint Mary’s University, Nova Scotia- Canada.
