Ella Strachan is a Research Analyst supporting the implementation of the IMPACT project in the Pacific region, working closely with Pacific Small Island Developing States in areas of climate change adaptation, proposal development and scientific capacity building. Since joining Climate Analytics in 2019, Ella has been based in Apia, Samoa at the Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme (SPREP) working closely with the climate change resilience team.
Ella holds a Bachelor of Marine Science (Hons.) from the University of Wollongong and completed her final research year at the University of the South Pacific. Her honours thesis investigated the perceptions of the effectiveness of community-based fisheries management techniques on Gau Island, Fiji.
