Dorji Tshewang

Dorji is the Policy Analyst for Least Developed Country (LDC) issues, and is based in Thimphu, Bhutan. He provides technical and strategic advisory support to the LDC Chair on emerging issues and day to day functioning of the LDC Group.

Before joining CA, he worked with Bhutanese government for more than 13 years in the field of climate diplomacy and environmental conservation, and has participated in all of the UNFCCC negotiation sessions since 2014. Since then, he has been the LDC Group’s lead negotiator at the UNFCCC session on matters related to Transparency under the Paris Agreement.

Dorji holds a Master in Environmental Science (major in Environmental Economics) from Yale University, USA and a Bachelor in Environmental Engineering from the University of Wollongong, Australia.
