Aman joined Climate Analytics in 2022 as an Energy and Climate Policy Analyst. He is currently contributing to the Climate Action Tracker and is also working on the State of Climate Action platform in conjunction with the World Resources Institute. Aman is also facilitating the development of bottom-up system models to map decarbonisation pathways for the energy sector that align with the Paris Climate Agreement.
Aman holds an Honorary Research Fellowship at the University of Oxford. His research focuses on climate risk and resilience in the energy and water sectors, as well as developing sustainable energy development pathways in uncertain transboundary contexts.
Before joining Climate Analytics, Aman was a Research Fellow at the Environmental Change Institute at the University of Oxford. He has previously held research positions at the International Institute for Applied Systems analysis (IIASA) as a YSSP, as well as the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Auckland. Aman also worked in management consultancy within the energy and utilities sector.
Aman graduated with a D.Phil (PhD) from the University of Oxford, specialising in the development of models to aid decision-making under deep uncertainty in the water and energy sectors. He also holds a Master of Engineering (M.Eng) degree from the University of Sheffield.
