Dr Zounmenou has joined Climate Analytics in October 2020 as PAS-PNA+ In-country Coordinator for Benin.
He has earned his PhD in Economics with specialisation in health economics and econometrics through the Collaborative PhD Programme (CPP) of African Economic Research Consortium (AERC) at the University of Abomey-Calavi (UAC) in Benin. He has more than five years’ experience in quantitative and qualitative research methods, data collection and data processing, impact evaluation studies and has worked with large data sets.
Dr Zounmenou has more than 10 years of experience in teaching in economics and related fields at the University of Abomey-Calavi (Benin) and at private universities. His most recent position was a Training Manager at Institut Supérieur d’Expertise et de Gestion (ISEG) in Benin.
Dr Zounmenou has been involved in a research project that investigates the contribution of financial products in reducing poverty and vulnerability in Benin. He is also contributing to a national project (PAS/PNA) in Benin that connects health vulnerability and adaptation to climate change.
