Kirstin is the Project Manager at Climate Analytics for projects on Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) and the MAGIC (Moving towards Adaptive Governance in Complexity: Informing Nexus Security) Project. Furthermore, she supports the team in the High Level Support Mechanism (HLSM) Project for Least Developed Countries and Small Island Developing States on Climate Change.
Before joining Climate Analytics, Kirstin focussed on „Reducing Emissions on Deforestation and Forest Degradation (REDD+)“. She holds a masters degree in political science and her master thesis was entitled „The participaton of Indigenous people in REDD+“. In 2013 she supported the International Climate Initiative (IKI/GIZ) in Berlin and in 2014 the Forest and Climate Change Programme (FORCLIME/GIZ) in Jakarta as an intern. In winter 2014 she worked as a free consultant for the GIZ and accompanied two Indonesian Delegation Trips to Germany, which were focused on Forest Management Units and Biomass.
