Dipesh Chapagain is a Research Fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and hosted by Climate Analytics. He is working on a project to analyse climate change adaptation needs and gaps for Nepal and draw lessons for other LDCs in similar circumstances.

Prior to this, Dipesh has worked in UNDP Nepal, Oxfam and Clean Energy Nepal on research and advocacy on climate change adaptation and finance. He started following the development on international climate negotiation since UNFCCC COP 15 in 2009 and attended several such events. Recognising his involvement, US Department of State nominated him for their International Visitors Leadership Programme 2012 in USA. Dipesh is also a co-founder of Nepalese Youth for Climate Action.

Dipesh holds a Masters Degree in Environmental Science from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. His dissertation research was awarded with the Grant for Applied Research on Climate Change Adaptation in Nepal by Ministry of Environment and published by Nepal Academy of Science and Technology.
